I’ve read at least 10 of Anthony’s books. And overall Anthony does not quite pull all his grand gestures together successfully. A mixture of languages! Jebelshe says, means “mountain” in Old Moorish, so they’re on Tarik’s Mountain. It impressively weaves a tapestry from such diverse threads as music, mathematics, classic American literature, philosophy, psychology, and sheer imagination, just to name a few.
It is, however, chalk full of Anthony at the top of his brilliant, mind-blowing best. It was plain for all to see, unfortunately, that the book didn’t remotely come close to achieving any of these. This novel takes us across the breathtaking ranges of space as well as through the most touching places in the human heart. With Ivo somehow able to circumvent the Destroyer, he is thereby also able to extract data from the torrent available.
Piers Anthony was born in August,in Oxford, England. Highly popular because of his science fiction and fantasy works, Anthony is also known for the Jason Striker series and martial arts novels co-written with Roberto Fuentes. If this had been the first book by Piers Anthony I had read, I would never pick up another of his books. Macroscope was first published in and in some respects reflects the idealistic values of that time.
It deals with the idea, remarkable for its time,that even though we cannot go physically interstellar, we can get an Lists with This Book. Macroscope is a case of the latter two ways. Anthony’s characterization of these geniuses is very well done, and gives great insight into the thought processes and emotional characteristics of these exceptional people.

People are terraforming moons, making epic instantaneous space journeys, and mastering new physics. Sure, far into the work there’s this hokey aura leftover from that beginning conspiracy story. Will t I liked the style of writing of this book as well as the characters.
Still not great though and the writing is rough. Enter Ivo, a young man who had been part of an experiment to create ultrasmart humans. I think we all have those books that we absolutely love that just never seem to get the attention that we are feel deep down in our giblets they deserve.
