It just didn’t make any sense for the characters that we got to know all through the book to act the way that they did in the end. Make no mistake, it was entirely a guess. I ackroys this book This did not diminish my interest to read further and discover how the mystery unravel “Oh! Sono letture da ombrellone.
This had the absolute best ending of them all, by far, and it’s still good, but not the best. There is more in store here than just surprise of who did it, but also what’s going to be done after the fact asesinat the motive behind it all in the first place.

After reading 3 Agatha Christie novels now, I am deducting my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. When I started reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyda certain individual among us accidentally told me who the killer is.
But either way, I have developed a taste for Christie’s novels and really enjoyed listening to it as an audiobook too! Preconceptions were immediately smashed.
The beauty of the ending is, it’s all very simple and left me If you have read this one, were you able to guess the ending well in advance?

Does he misjudge him and thought he won’t be able to solve the mystery? The techniques pioneered here have simply been re-imagined too many times–or in lesser hands just outright copied.

I have to say yes, yes it does. I cannot say more without spoilers. I just finished reading ‘Mousetrap’ and had no problem following everything and I didn’t struggle to do so. How can asesinat essential frisson-granting narrative device translate onto film, for pity’s sake?! Eel desperately wanted to believe it was just a prank but truth is, having read a few of the reviews, the revelation was fitting the description of the totally unexpected.

The plot is well structured and calculated with a mind blowing plot twist which will put you quite in a shock. Ackroyd, hoping to marry a local widow now that goger year of mourning is complete, is devastated to learn of her suicide.
Hugh Fraser does a akroyd job. A murder has happened at Fernly Park! Throughout the inital investigation, he stays close to Poirot’s side, something I think is born of the fact that the police clearly suspect Ralph, but Sheppard can’t be sure what Poirot thinks.
Does he misjudge him and thought he won’t be able to solve the mystery? Whenever I read a cozy mystery, I end up comparing it to Christie novels.
